Small Group Trainings

Players are separated inside the session. All groups are open to the public unless sold out or specified Invite Only.

Our Small Group Trainings focus on position-specific skill development and live play. Every session is led by former NCAA players who now coach the same positions they played, providing high-level instruction and real-game insight.

We maintain a 5:1 player-to-coach ratio, ensuring every athlete receives individual attention and meaningful feedback throughout the session. We typically sell out as we want to maintain small group focused events. We cannot extend registrations for late sign ups.

Our trainings are fast-paced, competitive, and packed with coaching. Players are constantly being taught, encouraged, and corrected to eliminate bad habits while building confidence and lacrosse IQ.

Most importantly, our athletes see results quickly. Within just 3 sessions, players typically show noticeable improvement in their stick skills, decision-making, positioning, and overall confidence with and without the ball.

Train with purpose. Develop faster. Play smarter.

Advanced Lacrosse FAQs

1. What is Advanced Lacrosse USA?

Advanced Lacrosse USA is a club-neutral lacrosse training and player development company offering small groups, programs, clinics, private training and team training.

We’re known for being up-tempo, fast-paced and no-nonsense. We believe pressure forms diamonds. We want players competing, making decisions and even making mistakes at FULL SPEED, because that’s how they’ll have to play when it matters.

Specific. Consistent. Energy.

2. Is Advanced Lacrosse a club team?

No. We’re a training company, not a club program. Players from all clubs, towns and schools are welcome. There’s 20 different colored helmets and pinnies at our events.

Our job is to develop the player, not recruit them away from their team.

3. What ages and skill levels do you train?

We primarily train youth, middle school and high school players, from beginners through NCAA committed athletes.

Players are grouped based on age, ability, position and experience to create the right competitive environment.

4. What does position-specific training mean?

Our trainers coach the same positions they played at the NCAA level.

They know the position inside and out and specialize in teaching the finer details, techniques and decision-making players need to succeed.

5. How big are your training groups?

Our groups and clinics typically operate around a 5:1 player-to-coach ratio.

Even in larger programs, players are separated by position and skill to maintain our small-group format.

More coaching. More reps. More feedback. Less standing around.

6. Is there live play during training?

Absolutely. Skills have to work when someone is trying to stop you.

Sessions progress from position-specific instruction into competitive drills, situational training and live play. We want players executing and making decisions at game speed and under pressure.

7. Do you offer team training?

Yes. We offer customized 4–10 week training programs for youth, high school and club teams.

Training can take place indoors or at your team’s field to help reduce facility costs. Sessions include position-specific instruction, skill development, competitive situations and live play.

8. What are Top Gun Programs and how are players selected?

Top Gun Programs are invitation-only training for AA-level players, offered during select months of the year.

Players are hand-picked from within our training programs based on ability, position, competitiveness and ALUSA staff evaluation.

We want the best competing against the best.

9. Do you offer private training?

Yes. We offer private and Semi-private-group training for friends to train together! [Private Training]

We especially value small-group private training because players receive individualized coaching while getting competitive, game-realistic repetitions.

10. Can my player join late or drop into a training session?

Yes, we usually have 1 or 2 spots open for drop ins. But once they’re taken spots are sold out.

You can always contact us to check availability.

11. What happens if my player misses a session or ALUSA cancels?

Missed sessions are generally non-refundable because roster spots, coaches and facilities are committed in advance. When space allows, we may offer a makeup, but makeups are not guaranteed.

If ALUSA cancels a session, we’ll make every effort to reschedule or provide an appropriate makeup.

12. Does Advanced Lacrosse help with college recruiting?

Yes. [Advanced Advisory] offers separate recruiting and advisory services for players and families navigating the college recruiting process.

Training with ALUSA does not guarantee college recruitment or exposure. Recruiting decisions are ultimately made by college coaching staffs.
