We're big on perfecting the fundamentals. We teach playing the opponent's body first, which opens up the right time to throw checks. Leading with stick checks is not the right way to teach the position or play the game.

Defensive Director Kyle Kutyla

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: Cabrini University

Coach Kyle is currently a Junior-student-athlete at Cabrini University. Kyle is earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. As a Cavalier, Coach Kyle led the team to three appearances in the NCAA tournament. In recent years, the Cabrini Cavaliers were the 2019 NCAA Division 3 National Champions. As a defenseman Kyle emphasizes on many aspects of the game but specifically on Footwork, Stick Work, Communication, Situational Defense, Strength/ Conditioning, etc.

Before being a Cavalier Coach Kyle attended Montville High School and was awarded First Team- All State, 2x First Team- All NJAC, 2x First Team- All League, with career stats of scooping 113 ground balls and 86 takeaways.

Coach Kyle loves his opportunity to coach and build players skills to prepare them for the next level. Kyle has been in the lacrosse world for fifteen years as a player and five years as a coach. His experience and knowledge bridges the gap for players as he is relatable and kids respond very well to his teachings. Something that Coach Kyle cherishes from his head coach at Cabrini and reciprocates to his players is: “When we are on the field, we need to bring energy, effort and execution to be 1-0 today and dominate the day”.

Coach Ed Adeogun

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: Kean University

Ed Adeogun has played and coached at a high level and is all about giving back to the game that profoundly impacted his life. The culmination of his experiences contribute to his passion to pass on all the lessons that he learned during his years with the sport. His upbeat coaching style and years of experience allow him to cultivate relationships with every player he has the opportunity to work with.

As a student-athlete Ed was a New Jersey All-State player at Montclair High School. Following his high school career, Ed was a letter winner in lacrosse at Kean University where he excelled as a close-defenseman for the Cougars. Ed contributed to a stingy Kean defense that was ranked in the Top10 of Division III lacrosse in goals against average. Ed earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kean University in 2016.

Ed started his coaching career at his alma mater Montclair High School as a program wide defensive assistant. Since then he served as varsity assistant at West Orange High School, and has been the Varsity defensive coordinator at Glen Ridge High School, where he has coached for the last 2 years.

Coach Eric Webb

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: Providence College

Eric Webb is currently a freshman on the Men’s Lacrosse Team at Providence College in Rhode Island. Prior to Providence College Eric was a Captain, three year varsity letter-winner, Second team all state, Second team all county and First team all conference member at Westfield High School in Union County. While coaching Eric emphasizes one on one defensive fundamentals, the importance of communication on and off the ball, and lastly how the team structure is far more important than any individual matchup. As his coaches have taught him in the past it’s a group effort and commitment to the guys next to you on defense. Eric cannot wait for a great summer of coaching!

Coach Connor Kehm

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: Boston University

Coach Connor Kehm, from Glen Rock, NJ, is a defenseman for Boston University. As a sophomore, he started for the nationally ranked Terriers. With three years of private coaching experience and a role as a defensive coordinator for a top 20 club team, Connor is passionate about sharing his extensive lacrosse knowledge with younger players. He believes a strong lacrosse IQ is crucial for success at any level and focuses on teaching conceptual drills and skill development.

In high school at Don Bosco, Connor earned numerous accolades, including 1st Team All-State and US Lacrosse All-American. He captained his team to multiple championships and was recognized for his leadership and performance.

Coach Connor looks forward to working with lacrosse players of all ages, building lasting relationships with players, parents, and coaches. His dedication to the sport and commitment to fostering a supportive community make him an inspiring figure in the lacrosse world.

Coach David Corb

  • Positions: Defense, LSM
  • College: Don Bosco Prep/Quinnipiac University

David Corb, a standout defenseman from Wayne, New Jersey, is a senior at Don Bosco Prep, where he has been a four-year starter and captain of the lacrosse team.

Beyond his own play, David is deeply passionate about teaching the defensive position to young athletes. He emphasizes the importance of mastering footwork, understanding positioning, and using the body effectively to defend without relying solely on the stick. David believes that proper footwork is the foundation of strong defense, and he consistently preaches its significance in controlling offensive players. His approach to teaching focuses on instilling confidence in players to use their physical presence when necessary while maintaining discipline in their positioning.

As David prepares to continue his lacrosse journey at Quinnipiac University, he looks forward to contributing to the team’s success and building strong relationships with teammates and coaches, all while continuing his passion for mentoring the next generation of lacrosse players.

Coach Kyle Rochester

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: St. John Fisher University

Kyle Rochester is a graduate of St. John Fisher University where he played close defense. He excelled at 1 on 1 on ball defense and communication.

While playing, he was a part of a top 20 ranked team in the country and in his last year playing, the team finished at 4th in the country. Kyle graduated with a bachelors in marketing.

Coach Chris DeBellis

  • Positions: Defense
  • College: Fairfield University

Chris DeBellis is a current LSM and Defender at Division 1 Fairfield University. Before Fairfield, Chris was a captain at Ramapo High School where he received First Team All State, First Team All Bergen County, First Team All North Jersey, First Team All Gibbs Division, and US Lacrosse Academic All American honors.

Chris emphasizes positioning/footwork, stick skills, communication, and versatility on the field. Playing both LSM and defense, he believes that in order to be a great defenseman you need to be comfortable covering all over the field. He is looking forward to continuing to share his knowledge and passion for the game.
